Bridget Yassme is a multimedia digital journalist. She graduated from Columbia University Journalism School where she discovered her love for video and long form storytelling. Shaped by her lived experiences as a first-generation, Ghanaian-American woman, Bridget is drawn to character driven stories that explore identity, race, culture—and the incredible complexity that arises when those ideas intersect. In 2021, Bridget published her film, ‘Push,’ which follows a Pakistani woman’s search for autonomy and healing as she prepares for a home birth following a traumatic hospital birth.

Bridget currently produces, edits, and fronts her stories as a Reporter Fellow at NBC News' Stay Tuned.
