Bridget Yassme is a video journalist and documentary filmmaker. She is a recent graduate from Columbia University Journalism School where she discovered her love for long form storytelling. Shaped by her lived experiences as a first-generation, Ghanaian-American woman, Bridget is drawn to character driven stories that explore identity, race, culture—and the incredible complexity that arises when those ideas intersect. Bridget’s most recent project, ‘Push,’ follows a Pakistani woman’s search for autonomy and healing as she prepares for a home birth following a traumatic hospital birth.

Bridget currently works as a production assistant at MSNBC for Politics Nation with Reverend Al Sharpton.
